My Louvre Visitor's guide

There are two parallel ways of visiting the rooms of my Louvre, a 'light" visit with small-sized pictures, and a "heavier" one with high-definition reproductions. An ADSL line is recommended for this, although an ordinary modem will sometimes do. Try the option that works best with your system. It is extremely easy to switch from low- to high-definition mode. You can either click:

1. on a reproduction to change its definition

2. on the magnifying glass icon to the right of the low-definition picture if you want to see it in high definition. The menu bar hereabove can be found on top of each "light" reproduction, which facilitates surfing across the site, enabling the visitor to leave a room and come back any time.
